The cardiologist for your blood pressure
High blood pressure is also known as the "silent danger". Because this develops insidiously and mostly unnoticed by those affected. As a result of high blood pressure, diseases such as kidney failure, strokes or heart attacks can occur. It is therefore important to see a high blood pressure specialist if there are any small signs.
High blood pressure can manifest itself through various symptoms. Those affected usually suffer from nausea, dizziness or headaches. The color of the face can also indicate high blood pressure. It is not uncommon for the disease to be recognized by a permanent red color on the face. In men, erectile dysfunction is also a possible consequence. Elevated blood pressure is normal during physical activity. However, if the values are in an elevated range for a longer period of time, a visit to the cardiologist is advisable. It is important to us to guarantee detailed advice and treatment for every patient. That's why we take enough time for you to analyze your blood pressure.
Your specialist for coronary heart disease in Vienna
Coronary artery disease often makes itself felt for the first time during physical or emotional stress. In this case, those affected usually complain of an acutely oppressive feeling in the area of the sternum. You should take such signs seriously in any case, even if the feeling disappears again after the exercise. If the feeling persists, acute medical help should be sought immediately.
Coronary artery disease is a narrowing of the coronary arteries that supply the heart muscle with blood and oxygen. If this is not supplied with sufficient blood, it cannot adequately fulfill its task.
This is usually caused by calcification or cholesterol deposits in the vascular wall, which is brought about by smoking, high cholesterol levels, diabetes, high blood pressure and genetic predispositions (heart attack in the family).
As an interventional cardiologist with the experience of more than 2000 cardiac catheter examinations, I offer you detailed examination and the right therapy.
As an internist, cardiologist and high blood pressure specialist, I look after you holistically, with me the focus is on the person, not the disease. High blood pressure, palpitations and chest pain are often caused by the current situation in life. However, an accurate and timely cardiological work-up is important, as it can also be dangerous.
